Life in Albania is challenging and ministring in the Albanian prisons is not always easy. So much the better when we find ourselves doing well.
But there is still much to be done. Don’t hesitate to join us, because your support will help us show Gods love in the most depressing places.
The Albanian authorities are very supportive towards our ministry, dealing unceasingly with prisoners and their families. Their help was crucial for eg. our Angel Tree project. 300+ Children received a Christmas gift, required for from their parent in prison.
More than grateful we are towards the churches all over Albania. They also helped with the Angel Tree project, and with the Winter Project – The churches helped us for 4 months long distribute Food and Wood for 350 of the poorest families of prisoners.
In the midst of January the cold struck Albania in an unprecedented way. Many families that were fully unprotected against the biting cold were given wood-stoves, fire wood and we distributed hundreds of blankets. This could be done with support from many donors, smaller and bigger. And we see lot’s of families come to the local churches, out of curiosity about this selfless support from those Christians…
It reminds me of a prisoner I met last year in Durres. He thanked us, saying that coming to them in the dark places of prison, and also sharing words of Hope was the best thing any person could ever do for someone else.
In his own words, he paraphrased the words of Jesus: “whatever you have done for the least of my brothers, you have done for me”.
The reason we share this good news with you is Matthew 5: 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
So many people, churches and organisations help us to continue the good work. In a way – We‘re all in it together. And you can be part of this wonderful work too!
We want to continue. Help us to share the gospel to the prisoners, to the families of prisoners, vulnerable female victims of trafficking and domestic violence. Help us to create opportunities and a future for the children of prisoners.
